Combinatorial Bidding Conference

The Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau - in conjunction with the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and National Science Foundation hosted a conference on Combinatorial Bidding, November 21-23, 2003. This conference, conducted at the Aspen Institute's Wye Woods Conference Centers in Queenstown, Maryland, was a forum for some of the nation's experts in the economic science of auctions and the FCC's auctions program managers to share information, present papers, and discuss the FCC's auctions processes. The ultimate purpose of the conference was to help the FCC develop the best feasible methodology for large-scale package bidding auctions, both one-sided and two-sided.
