The information contained in this Public Notice corrects information in all previous Public Notices released in connection with the VHF Public Coast Service auction. The September 4, 1998 Public Notice is further corrected as follows : 1. The first full paragraph on page 4 of the September 4, 1998 Public Notice is revised to read: In addition, potential bidders seeking licenses for geographic areas that are near the Canadian border should be aware of agreements between the United States and Canada that affect the assignment and use of VHF frequencies in parts of maritime and inland border VPCs. Potential bidders are responsible for investigating and evaluating the degree to which these matters affect spectrum availability in areas where they seek maritime or inland VPC licenses. 4. Footnotes 8 through 36 of the September 4, 1998 Public Notice are redesignated as footnotes 10 through 38. 5. The attached chart further corrects and replaces Attachment A to the September 4, 1998 Public Notice. This chart provides information on upfront payments and minimum opening bids for each of the 42 VHF Public Coast Service geographic area licenses to be auctioned.
